Easy 14-Day Return
Elegant Art Deco desk clock / table watch / alarm clock in blue enameled guilloché steel by Hamilton & Inches (Edinburgh). In the spirit of Cartier or Aaron L. Dennison, Birmingham, England.
Swiss Made 8-day movement, in perfect working order.
Very good condition, note a small chip of glass under the glass (see photo), not very disturbing.
Hamilton & Inches is a luxury jeweler and jewelry designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company has held a Royal Warrant to the British Monarchy for over 120 years as goldsmiths, silversmiths, watchmakers, and clockmakers. The company's headquarters are on George Street in Edinburgh's New Town. The company was founded in 1866 by Sir Robert Inches and his uncle, James Hamilton. In 1903, Robert Inches helped establish the Edinburgh Goldsmiths, Silversmiths, and Watchmakers' Association, "to prevent firms from selling inferior goods and to protect the interests of consumers."
In addition to jewelry making, jewelers also had the honor of being "Her Majesty's Clockmakers and Keepers, charged with the care of Her Majesty's Clocks, Watches, and Clocks in the Palaces and Houses of Her Ancient Kingdom of Scotland" within the Royal Household of Scotland. This role was renewed in 2010 as "Specialist Goldsmiths and Watchmakers to Her Majesty The Queen."
