Perfect condition.
An artist by vocation, but a technician by training and a lifelong foundryman, Jacques Dufrane drew the material for his creations from his professional environment, among a collection of small industrial parts. His assemblages are therefore first and foremost autobiographical. Acting as memories and traces, they recall, through their constituent elements, his life as a foundryman. They tell the story of that life, extending it, giving it continuity and meaning. And in turn, this life gives them a style...
