Stone sculpture of a woman's head wearing a braided African chignon. She is 3/4 profile, with a gaze that seems to follow the beholder. She is wearing a pearl necklace. Extremely realistic and beautiful.
The stone, probably from the Great Dyke, is reddish-brown, green and black.
Thomas Tandi is a well-known Zimbabwean sculptor, the son of Gabriel, who was already a sculptor, and has himself trained several sons who continue the trade.
