Emmanuel Villanis (1858-1914) was a renowned French sculptor of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, born in Lille. Trained at the école des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he specialized in figurative sculpture, producing numerous works depicting elegant women and children. His sculptures, often in bronze, were characterized by their delicacy and expressiveness. Villanis was an active member of the Parisian art scene of his time, exhibiting regularly at the Salon and winning several awards throughout his career. He died in Paris in 1914, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of sculpture.
