Rare small sculpture by sculptor and foundryman Geo Vindevogel.
This family foundry first appeared in 1913.
Karel Vindevogel founded the company, later assisted by his sons Achiel (1911-1984 or 1994) and Geo (1923-1977).
Some of their creations can be found in Ghent.
End of activities: the last known mention of this foundry dates from 1954.
The foundry changed its name to Fonderie d'Art Vindevogel (S.A.) in 1923, and then to Vindevogel S.A. in 1932.
The company signs "fonderie Vindevogel", "bronz.Vindevogel", "bronzg.Vindevogel", "bronzg. Vindevogel gebroeders Zwijnaarde Gent", "BRONS. VINDEVOGEL Zwijnaarde".
