Demetre Chiparus, An Egyptian dancer spreading her arms above her head and standing elegantly on the toes of both her feet. The loincloth is held together by a buckle in the shape of a scarab in the middle of her abdomen, the sandals are also tied by buckles in the shape of a scarab. The scarab is seen in ancient Egypt as a good luck charm. Chiparus, in depicting this dancer, has guided by the ruler of ancient Egypt Cleopatra. Also the bronze shield on the marble pedestal contains hieroglyphs from ancient Egypt. The sculpture is signed in two places and is numbered below the pedestal with 5445
