Son of sculptor Frans Joris,
Studied at the Antwerp Academy with sculptors Frans Deckers and Jacques De Braekeleer.
Awarded 1st prize in 1905 and the Van Lerius Prize in 1907.
Collaboration with Alberic Collin and Rembrandt Bugatti, cfr. 1990 Antwerp Zoo exhibition.
