(Haine-Saint-Pierre, 1923- Brussels 2010)
Painter, author, poet. Degree in philosophy and literature from IULB in Brussels. Artistic training at the Brussels Academy under G. De Vlamynck (1952-1954). For five years, he served as a city councilor in André Malraux's office in Paris. He became friends with the painter HJ Closon. In 1967, he developed a technique for treating copper with acids and then painting it. Until 1971, he worked under the pseudonym PRICOPE. He initially worked in an abstract style, but later explored symbolic and esoteric subjects borrowed from various civilizations. He created figures, nudes, and fantastical and symbolic scenes. In the press: "We must be grateful to him for allowing us to undertake a journey that takes us from European rationalism to Eastern spiritual life, thanks to this technique using both the brush and copper, which the acid gives the form of Pidina." Author of the triptych "Europe between two Worlds" for the entrance hall of the Sheraton Hotel in Brussels and of a triptych on the subject of epilepsy for the Lennox Centre in Brussels in 1970 and 1979.
in Louvain-la-Neuve. Retrospective at the Charlier Museum in Brussels in 1970 and 1979
