Essentially dubbed Europe's Frank Llyoyd Wright by Wright himself, Adolf Loos possessed a talent for architecture and interior design as powerful as his outspoken critique of Art Nouveau and excessive ornamentation. A precursor of the International Style, Loos showed immense restraint in his building projects as well as in his designs for chairs, tables, storage units and other furniture, and wrote prolifically about his disdain for the decorative approach to architecture.
An Art Nouveau coat rack with a Wiener Werkstatte design in oak with brass hooks, the rack also carries the original label on the back.
