Surreal Soliflor by designers Derai and Pelusi for Pauly & Co. Manufacture Pauly & C. | CVM - Compagnia Venezia Murano, is an artistic Murano glassworks founded over one hundred and forty years ago. Its name derives from the 1919 merger between Pauly & C., founded in 1902, and Compagnia di Venezia et Murano, founded in 1866. The company also incorporates the brand of the historic MVM Cappellin & C, a company acquired in 1932 together with drawings and catalogs. In 1990 Pauly & C. | CVM - Compagnia Venezia Murano also acquired the Toso Vetri d'Arte glassworks. Two generations of master glassmakers were trained in these glassworks, some of whom, after learning the art of glassmaking and developing their skills at different times, went on to found their own glassworks, including some of Murano's leading glass brands such as Barovier, Seguso and Toso.
