This beautiful olla with its spherical body. Made of terracotta, its surface is decorated with concentric bands of brown and red pigments. The flared lip tops a balanced body with two vertical handles. These alternate with two zoomorphic protuberances, also in relief: finely modeled fox heads, with stylized but expressive features, emerge from the body, giving the object a ritual or symbolic character.
Daunian period, 6th century B.C. (circa 550-500 B.C.).
Height: 28 cm - Width : 32 cm.
Intact and very beautiful conservation.
Provenance: Belgian private collection formed in the 1990s by Monsieur F. C.
