An individual container for drinking liquids, usually hot. The cup has a rounded, vertical side handle with a comma shape. It is cylindrical with a flat bottom resting on a slight foot. Its matching saucer also has a flat bottom resting on a slight foot and a high, sloping rim.
The name "litron" cup was given by the Vincennes factory around 1752. They were inspired by the tankard to create this model. Cups and saucers appeared in mass production from the beginning of the 18th century.

Hard porcelain.

White background decorated with wide bands in nankeen style, adorned with a garland of flowers in sepia monochrome highlighted with gold. Wide gold lines on the borders and on the body.

condition(s): GOOD CONDITION - Handle broken and very well glued back together (at the top and at the base) - Can be repaired with invisible restoration.
