Easy 14-Day Return
An exceptional and rare three-handled vase made by the master ceramist Jean Gerbino. This piece is a masterful testament to the know-how of Vallauris during its "golden age".
The originality of this work lies in the mosaic clay technique, a unique process developed by Gerbino after 15 years of research. It is not a painted decoration, but a true marquetry of colored clays, meticulously assembled before firing.
The decoration consists of a wide central frieze featuring polychrome Compass Roses, surrounded by complex registers of checkerboards and organic motifs in shades of turquoise, ochre and umber.
An exceptional piece of rare dimensions, this vase stands out from the workshop's usual production. The precision of the mosaic joins and the fineness of the glaze attest to a very high-quality execution.
The piece is in perfect condition, without any chips or cracks.
Signature: stamp under the base "Gerbino" "Vallauris (AM)"
