Circular in shape with lobes, resting on a slight heel. The presentation is more or less hollow, depending on the destination of the plate. It is slightly flat. The base, called "basin", is surrounded by a more or less curved descent (or fall), bordered by a crown called "the wing" by manufacturers or "marli" in goldsmithing.
White background with polychrome decoration of green and red flowers, called "Etruscan rosette", surrounded by red and blue polka dots surrounded by two braids with a background imitating porphyry, framed by gold fillets. Gold fillet on the border.
This PLATE comes from the "ETRUSCAN PORPHYRY ROSETTE ZONES" SERVICE. A drawing of the decoration of this plate appears in the album of plate drawings kept at the Manufacture de Sèvres under no. 170.
