A rare cut crystal centrepiece on a pedestal in the Secessionist Art Nouveau style (similar to the Wiener Werkstatte), decorated with friezes and flowers and enhanced with black enamel and gilded with fine gold, circa 1910.
Fruit bowl, biscuit stand, this Austrian (Bohemian) glassware announces, by its geometrical patterns, the Art Deco style of the 1920s/1930s, typical of the avant-garde Viennese Secession and close to the English artistic movement Arts & Crafts (Charles Rennie Mackintosh...).
We have not found this decoration nor identified the designer but this piece remains nevertheless very interesting, notice to amateurs and connoisseurs....
No chip in the glass, this piece is in very good condition, note signs of wear due to normal use and time.
