Royal Copenhagen, founded in 1775 under the patronage of Queen Caroline Mathilde of Denmark, is one of the oldest and most prestigious porcelain factories in the world. Located in Copenhagen, it is famous for its fine porcelain and hand-painted designs, in particular the Blue Fluted pattern, which was created in its early days and is still produced today.

The Art Deco period (1920-1930) represented an artistic turning point for Royal Copenhagen. Influenced by modern trends, the manufactory adopted bolder designs, incorporating clean lines, geometric shapes and stylised motifs. This period also saw collaboration with renowned artists such as Gerhard Henning and Knud Kyhn, who introduced highly expressive sculptures in porcelain and stoneware. The creations of this period are characterised by the use of rich, golden and nuanced glazes, often in natural tones, highlighting the technical virtuosity of the workshop.

Today, creations from this period are highly prized by collectors, representing a perfect balance between craft heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
