Imposing glazed stoneware wall light in a brutalist/abstract style, ca1980. This unique piece was made by the architectural ceramist Jean-Michel Savary in the Beauvais region of France at the end of the 20th century. Very good condition, impressive dimensions (60 x 42 x 16 cm).
Ceramics from Beauvais in the Oise region (Beauvaisi stoneware) are represented by famous artists and potters such as Auguste Delaherche, Charles Greber and Pierre Pissareff, whose vases and sculptures can be seen at the Musée de l'Oise.
