Eric Maquet, contemporary crystal sculpture

Contemporary abstract sculpture made of blown crystal in Val-Saint-Lambert. Although it is not signed, its author is Eric Maquet*. It is a unique piece. The dominant color is mauve with oxide work giving iridescent golden reflections mainly on the front, rounded point. It is supported by a translucent glass foot then a metal base. The metal foot measures 30.5 X 19 cm. The sculpture has a total height of 39.5 cm and the total width is 35 cm. *Eric Luc Maquet (18/10/1955) Architect by training, director of a higher art school but above all artist and sculptor. He touches many materials: glass, stone, steel, bronze. He falls under the spell of the work of the master glassmakers of Val-St-Lambert by organizing official visits to the Universal Exhibition in Seville. He abandoned his profession and began an apprenticeship as a glassblower in 1995, first in Holland and then in Val-Saint-Lambert with Alfred Collard. His creations are dreamlike, imaginary.
