Beautiful large greenish turquoise earthenware amulet depicting the goddess Nefertoum, dressed in a loincloth with her arms at her sides,
and hieroglyphs along her spine.
The finely modelled figure suggests a protective or divine representation, common in funerary and votive practices in late Egypt.

Translation .... ‘Sekhmet (daughter of Ra) she gives every life, every health like Ra eternally'.

Height 7.7 cm (without base).

Conservation:

The object has a beautiful patina, with shades ranging from turquoise to blue-green, resulting from vitrification partially altered by time.
The crown (visible) is missing.

Provenance Former French collection, Mr V. C. (1889-1969).
Since 1969 in the French collection of Mr X., then passed down through two estates to the last owner.
