Hettier & Vincent : a pair of French art deco wall sconces, 1930 France

A wonderful pair of 1925 French art deco wall sconces in nickel plated bronze and clear frosted moulded-pressed glass. This model is signed Hettier &Vincent France near the hole on top. Often parts of the signature got grinded off when they flattened the top in the factory. These shades were exclusively produced for Hettier & Vincent by verreries des Hanots. The sconce is represented in the old Hettier et Vincent catalog. H&V made numerous different wall lights. They were sold both with and without shades. Customers could also opt for whatever Hettier et Vincent model shade they prefered.

The sconces are about 20,5 cm (8,1) high and project 21 cm from the wall (8,8 inches). The shades have a diameter of 11,5 cm. The pair is in very good condition. I have renickeled and patinated the bronze fixtures. The sconces are rewired with E14 sockets so you can use our modern light bulbs for them. I will add two good quality LED bulbs to the parcel. For the US Canada or Japan I will wire them with American candelabra base sockets. For European countries I will place E14 ones.
