Yvonne Perin was born in 1905 in Brussels and died in 1967 in Namur
Painter of figures and landscapes. Student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels, by C. Montald and A. Bastien (1924-1929, 1933-1934). Second Godecharle Prize (1930) and first prize of the Rubens Foundation (1931) thanks to which she attended the Grande Chaumière Academy in Paris. Prix de Rome in 1934, she studied the fresco in Italy. From 1937 to 1939, she created costumes and sets for the Molière and Galeries theatres in Brussels. Meets Picasso in Paris in 1943 and A. Lhote in Provence. In 1947, she created L'Atelier des Artistes mosans with Y. Gérard, A. Dandoy, R. Prinz... From Catalonia (1954 and 1955), she brings back a series of paintings on the theme of gypsies. Religious works (stained glass, curtains, sheets...) between 1951 and 1959. Participation in many exhibitions in Belgium and abroad: Paris, Vienna, the former Soviet Union, Australia... His work, with a personal style, tending to stylisation and even abstraction, influenced a whole generation of Namur artists.
