Sèvres or Paris porcelain - King of Rome - biscuit medallion, Empire Period

AMAZING and RARE small medallion depicting the KING OF ROME, son of NAPOLEON I - EMPEROR OF THE FRENCH, in left profile bust.
Background in imitation of malachite, decorated with the bust in grisaille.
The medallion is encircled by a fine bronze frame.
This medallion is very interesting for the originality of its decoration, but above all for its background in imitation of a color rarely used on porcelain, malachite, which has been used since antiquity, but is extremely difficult to achieve on porcelain. Another rare and interesting element is the representation of the KING of ROME, also very rarely found on porcelain or bisque.
Most of these medallions were made by the Manufacture de SÈVRES, generally in white and/or blue bisque, as was the case for the Paris production.
