White background with polychrome decoration of garlands of roses in a band surrounded by gold-striped combs and semis of flowers on the body. Gold fillet borders.
Individual container for drinking liquids, usually hot. The cup has a rounded “comma“ vertical side handle. It is cylindrical in shape with a flat base resting on a slight heel. Its matching saucer also has a flat base resting on a slight heel and a high, sloping rim.
The “litron“ cup was named by the Manufacture de Vincennes around 1752. This model was inspired by the choppe. Cups and saucers appeared in series from the early 18th century.
