The tabletop, composed of 15 glazed earthenware tiles, features a sumptuous hand-painted design:
a stylised white deer, the historic emblem of the island of Rhodes, sits enthroned in the centre of a profusion of turquoise, cobalt and white flowers, all set against a deep brick-red background.

This ornamental style, halfway between Ottoman influences and Byzantine art, perfectly illustrates the refinement of IKAROS productions in the 1950s–1970s. The IKAROS RHODES signature, clearly visible in the lower right corner, attests to the authenticity of the piece.
