Magnificent regule sculpture of a farmer with a scythe, signed Auguste Moreau. In very good condition. Height without base 34.5cm; height with base 40cm; diameter 13cm August Moreau was born in Dijon in 1855 and died in 1917 during the war. He was a pupil of Mathurin Moreau, his brother. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français.
