Jean Dupont is a Belgian painter born in Herseaux in 1924.
From 1947 to 1952: Studies in painting in Mouscron; at the Academy of Tournai; at the Academy of Saint-Gilles; at the Van der Kelen and Logelain Institute (Gold Medal).
Since 1955: Painter, creator of posters and postage stamps, cartonnier of tapestries made at the Four workshops in Aubusson and at the Crecit factory in Tournai. Bi-annual exhibition at the workshop: secrets to share.
From 1957 to 1984: Professor at the Institute of Decorative Arts in Liège
Since 1975: set up his workshop in Beaufays
