Painter. Self-taught. Began with landscapes and small portraits, then drew his inspiration from working-class life and its social aspects. The North Sea also inspired him. Finally, he turned his attention to Antiquity and mythology, themes in which women were to demand a more prominent role. She is presented in a setting of ruins, trees, caves and rocks, sometimes blending into the background. These works are bathed in a poetic surrealism and are full of symbolism. Exhibited with "Les Arts en Europe" in Brussels between 1966 and 1981. Mentioned in BAS I and in "Deux Siècles de Signatures d'Artistes de Belgique".
