Daniel MURISA ‘ Massaï Connection ’ painting oil on canvas, 2024

Daniel MURISA is a contemporary visual artist born and raised in the Eastern Province of Rwanda. He studied painting, interior decoration and landscaping. He has been passionate about the visual arts since childhood, and used to create various sketches for school assignments in primary and secondary schools. In 2016, he decided to attend art school after receiving many encouraging comments from his teachers and classmates, who suggested he develop his talents as a professional artist. He graduated from NYUNDO High School of the Arts in 2018 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in environmental design at the National University of Rwanda, Nyarugenge campus. His artistic skills focus mainly on the use of watercolor and acrylic on canvas, exploring the everyday life of people and wildlife through warm and cool colors in the painting technique of pointillism. Most of his pointillist works are inspired by the post-impressionist paintings of Georges Seurat.
