Biography:

Anne Body (Anne-Marie Body) - (1939 - 2016)

Artist engraver, draftsman, painter and poet.
His work full of feminism is poetic and surreal. Influenced by the Cobra group, Pablo Picasso or Jean Cocteau, to the expressionist figuration of gestural, primitive, childlike type.
An erotic and provoking world.

Born in Belgium in Charleroi on July 16th, 1939 and since 1940, she lives in Namur.
From the early 1960s, she studied decorative arts at the Sainte Marie Institute in Brussels and then enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts of Namur in the Arts and Graphic Arts courses, completed her studies with of the "1st Prize with Great Distinction".
Numerous prizes obtained before 1970 and in particular: Price of the Ministry of the Middle Classes, the Silver Medal of the Government. the Jean Graffé Prize (Engraving) ...
It will collaborate with the Belgian Chemical Union Company S.A (UCB) in the realization of advertising projects (POSTAFENE) and will be noticed by J. Walter Thompson Co S.A. who will expose it in 1971 in their offices located in Brussels.
From 1970, she lives and occupies a workshop "My refuge" road Tancrémont 5, 4800 Pepinster in Belgium.
Died in 2016.

Works acquired by the Crédit Communal Bank, the State Collections, the Province of Liège, the Cabinet of Prints of Brussels and Liège, private collections.
