The saddle is covered with a yellow rug, contrasting with the animal's gray coat, against a backdrop of a country landscape with a wooden fence, evoking a scene of aristocratic riding or training. After Philippe LEDIEUX (1805-1850), an artist specializing in equestrian representations, influenced by his master Horace Vernet, a famous painter of military scenes and horses in the 19th century.
