Stainless steel Life insurance company. Rotterdam Founded: 1838. Before 1895, it was called Levensverzekering Maatschappij Rotterdamsche Verzekering Societeit, a continuation of the General Citizen Society under the motto Tot Voorzorg and the Rotterdamsche Insurance Society Death Benefit Department Assistance in and after life. Converted to N.V. R.V.S. in 1895, it is best known for its logo. The logo is one of the most famous and authentic in the Netherlands. The couple, husband and wife, who with their little dog shape the R.V.S. logo. The logo celebrated its 100th anniversary at the end of November 2005. De Fries Tjeerd Bottema (1884) created the R.V.S. Logo.
