Paul Delvaux (1897-1994) The Astronomers, 1963. Sheet printed recto verso, with two original engravings, one signed and dated in the plate Les Astronomes, 1963. Two distinct surrealist compositions on a single sheet, characteristic of the Belgian master's enigmatic, poetic universe. Format: 21 x 30 cm Numbered in pencil 13. Technique: etching on paper. Framing: under glass, modern frame with double passe-partout (burgundy and gray). Condition: excellent, ready to exhibit. Signed in the plate. Very good condition, clean and well preserved paper. This sheet probably comes from a bibliophile work illustrated by Paul Delvaux, published in a limited edition in the 1960s.
