Important set of antique metal chocolate molds, dating from the early 20th century, consisting of more than one hundred elements corresponding to about fifty complete molds ( each shape requiring two parts) intended for the creation of chocolate subjects in the round.
The collection comprises a wide variety of models :
Animal shapes (fish, shells, stylized animals), hearts, eggs, decorative subjects and naturalistic forms, testifying to the artisanal know-how of the chocolatiers of the time . These molds allowed the creation of true chocolate sculptures , well before the modern industrialization of confectionery.
Made of metal, they display a beautiful patina of use , consistent with their age and aesthetic appeal . Some models are particularly expressive and finely detailed, highlighting the quality of the engraving and the precision of the reliefs.
It is rare to find such a large and homogeneous collection , preserved as a set.
