This model was a gift from Mauricio Borletti, CEO of Christofle from 1993 to 2004.

Biography:
Christian Lacroix (1951- ), is a great French couturier, costume designer, designer, and illustrator.
After graduating with a degree in art history from the University of Montpellier, he went on to study at the école du Louvre in Paris to become a museum curator.
His first brief job was with Hermès, which he found thanks to Jean-Jacques Picart. He later became artistic director at Jean Patou. At a time when fashion was in upheaval in the 1980s, Christian Lacroix opened the fashion house that bears his name in 1987, with the help of Bernard Arnault. He presented his first haute couture collection, which was an immediate success. From 1992 onwards, the style became more refined, before changing radically in 2000, becoming darker.
In the mid-1990s, Christian Lacroix diversified into household linen, tableware, etc. This diversification would become even more marked a decade later. At the same time, Christian Lacroix was appointed artistic director of Pucci.
Christian Lacroix's creations were the subject of numerous museum retrospectives. For his part, Christian Lacroix turned his attention to decorating hotels and means of transport.
