Art Deco display cabinet or bookcase, burr amboyna and marble, France ca 1920

I'm pleased to present for sale this beautiful piece of Art Deco furniture from France, dating from the 1920s. It is a showcase, or bookcase, remarkable for the quality of its workmanship and the use of rather precious materials. Indeed, this piece of furniture has been crafted with great care. Its oak structure is trimmed with a magnificent burr amboyna veneer. It is topped with a beautiful breccia marble and embellished with bronze handles. It has three doors, the central glass one encircled by nickel-plated metal. There's also a large drawer at the bottom. The two wooden doors conceal height-adjustable mahogany shelves. The central part is lined with three glass shelves, also adjustable. The cabinet has three keys. It has been fully restored and repolished with a natural shellac buffer. For a piece of furniture over one hundred years old, it is in remarkable condition. Only the marble has a few very small chips on its edge, which are hardly visible. This is an elegant, beautifully crafted piece of furniture, practical as a showcase, money chest or bookcase, and in remarkable condition.
