Born in Namur in 1963, Eric Legrain studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège. He lives and works in Beho. For about ten years, he worked in obscurity. This artist's first major public appearance took place in 1989 in Brussels. His painting is full of vivacity, nervousness, and disquiet, making it a distinctive and highly personal style, endowed with striking creativity. The stark contrast of colors, black and white, and the study of light highlight the blending of bold strokes, different shapes, and figures. He often even inserts a few words in illegible handwriting, the meaning of which only he knows.
