She was the niece of the Dutch banker Van Buuren.
Van Dantzig was the daughter of Samuel van Dantzig (1844-1921), a stockbroker, and Adèle Rippe. She studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in her birthplace and moved to Brussels . As women were not yet admitted to the Brussels Academy, Van Dantzig received private lessons from Professor Charles Van der Stappen . [1] She then went to Paris, where she took classes at the Académie Colarossi in Paris.
Van Dantzig was a member of Arti et Amicitiae and an active member of Sint Lucas. She took part in various exhibitions. In 1913, she won the 1st class medal at the De Vrouw 1813-1913 exhibition with a sculpture. From 1918, she lived and worked in Belgium.
