SCHNEIDER : French 1930 art deco flush mount .. France

A wonderful French 1925-1930 art deco flush mount. The nickel plated fixture in solid brass holds a shade by the famous glass manufacturer Charles Schneider. The thick shade out of clear frosted moulded-pressed glass is signed on the rim Schneider France 403. The striped pattern on the bowl creates a beautiful defused light. It is a high quality heavy piece with a total weight of 4,4 kilos. I could not trace down which French lamp manufacturer made this gorgeous fixture. A flush mount with similar Schneider bowl held by a cheap pressed brass fixture is represented in one of the Hettier et Vincent catalogs.
The flush mount is 21 cm high (8,27) and the frame is 38 cm wide (15 inches). It is in excellent condition. The mount is renickeled and patinated. It comes rewired with a E27 socket so you can use our modern light bulbs for it. I will add a good quality LED bulb. For the USA or Japan I will place an American standard socket.
