A wonderful French 1930 art deco pendant in nickel plated bronze. The nice mount holds a globe by the famous Muller frères glass company signed Muller fres Luneville. This model shade exists in two sizes, this is the smaller one with a diameter of about 15 cm (5,9 inches). It's refered to as boule paons in the old Muller catalogs. The pendant was designed and produced by the well known Paris based company of Henri Petitot (10 rue du Vert-Bois). His father Antonin Petitot founded the firm in 1878. Henri took over after the first worldwar. Chandeliers with a similar canopy can be seen in the 1931 Petitot catalog.
The total drop of the pendant is 47,5 cm (18,7 inches). It is in excellent condition. I have replated and patinated the mount and it's rewired with an American candelabra base socket suitable for the US Canada or Japan. For European countries or Australia I will place a E14 socket.
I have a second one of these Petitot ceiling lights. Contact me if you are interested in a pair.
The pendant will be shipped by priority mail. Safely packed and fully insured. A pick up in Rotterdam is possible as well.
