Eugène Colignon was born on March 23, 1876, in Namur. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Namur, where he was a student of Désiré Merny (1865-1947). He continued his studies at the Brussels Academy under Isidore Verheyden. Eugène Colignon was influenced by the Tervuren School, by T. Baron, and by Neo-Impressionism. He excelled in depicting snowy landscapes. Eugène Colignon died in Beez on January 28, 1961. (Source: Wikipedia)
