Yvonne TELLIER (1917-2007): « Neige en campagne »

Yvonne Tellier was born on June 15, 1917 in Oisy, a village near Vresse, in the commune of Bièvre. After her studies at the Virton normal school, she taught in Monceau. After thirty years of teaching in her commune, she left for another, the chosen one was Vresse-sur-Semois. She settled in Member, where inspired by the Semois, she began painting. From 1945 to 1953, she took painting courses by correspondence at the ABC school in Paris. Self-taught, she subsequently became a student of Albert Raty. She is a jack of all trades artist who paints on instinct. She is an impulsive woman who can burn her paintings when she comes home from a bad day. Spontaneous, sensitive and dynamic, she cultivates the joy of living and transmits it through her painting. His works are sometimes hard and strong in material, sometimes soft and stripped of all relief. His dynamism is felt in his gestures.
