Painting made by Jules Van De Leene around 1920, representing a scene of a cruise ship or liner at the quay.

Biography:
Belgian painter from Brussels (Ixelles 1887 - Auderghem 1962). Trained at the Academies of Ixelles and Brussels with Constant Montald, he started with watercolours (nudes, portraits, interiors, marine) in a rather realistic style, he then discovered oil painting in 1923, his painting then became more luminous... Numerous stays in the Netherlands from 1912 to 1913, passages in France from 1919 to 1922, stays regularly in the Netherlands from 1927 to 1930.
