P.M. gave ardor to the Lys, made it drift in the temperate glow of the evening, bathed it in the sun and covered its banks with a veil of greenery and P.M. is a colorist, an artist who creates compositions of colours in particularly expressive tones, neither tender nor romantic, but in a wild and sometimes very touching splendour. In search of colours and landscapes, he made many trips, especially in Greece and Spain.
