Léon Navez was a Belgian painter who was born in 1900 and died in 1967. Trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, he is renowned for his figurative works and portraits. Navez was associated with the Belgian surrealist movement, influenced by themes of dreams and imagination. His paintings, characterised by a refined technique and great attention to detail, have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums. Léon Navez left a significant mark on twentieth-century Belgian art.
