Between 1912 and 1913 L'Olivier painted Brittany and its folklore including processions.

Fernand Allard l'Olivier was born in 1883 in Tournai, Belgium and died in 1933 in Yanongé, Congo.
He was a great Belgian Africanist painter and illustrator of the 20th century, a portrait and nude painter. A traveller, he liked to sketch the moment, he was a painter of the front and the field.
Pupil of the Julian Academy in Paris in 1901, officer of the Order of Leopold, Knight of the Legion of Honour ....
