Painter. Régendate in plastic arts at the Mons Normal School. Began in an expressionist way and evolved around 1961 towards abstraction and constructivism. In 1967, he returned to figuration, first in a still synthesised style, then in a more realistic style. Creates a universe of amazing, lonely, distressing characters who sometimes recall Breughel or Jérôme Bosch. They do not seem really integrated into this world and seek the company of animals rather than their fellows. In 1968, he was co-founder of the group Figure Quatre with Marcel Delmotte and Christian Hocquet.
