Jean Claude Dresse was born in 1946, in Charleroi, into a family of artists. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Charleroi. He was, along with his father, one of the leading figures in the creation of contemporary art furniture in Belgium in the 1970s. In 1985, he held his first solo painting exhibition in Brussels. His work, emerging from the memory of dreams, imposes itself like magic.
