Jean Christ NINTWARI is a self-taught Burundian painter. From an early age, he developed a taste for drawing in all its forms, although he had difficulty adapting to the school system.
His career began in 2010 when he met a Congolese artist who introduced him to the world of art by taking part in a number of group exhibitions in the Great Lakes region.
In 2016, he took part in his first exhibition, which focused on the daily lives of rural women and 2018 street children. He has been lucky enough to work with various NGOs as an educator of young people, whom he invites to art therapy sessions.
Awakening memories, rekindling hope, working on the development of oneself and of others, nothing is defined in advance, reality changes and becomes nothing more than a staging, a pretext for face-to-face confrontation, it is indeed his deep and intimate nature that shines through in his works. It is then that the viewer's external and subjective eye can imagine the story.
