Here is some information about the artist: Constantin Font, born on 11 January 1890 in Auch (Gers) and died in 1954 in Paris, was a French artist, painter of genre, nudes, landscapes, orientalist painter, sculptor and engraver.
A member of the Société des artistes français, he was a pupil of Fernand Cormon. After obtaining a mention in 1910 at the Salon, he won a silver medal in 1921, the year of his Prix de Rome. That same year, he exhibited Le Cimetière d'El Kettar at the Salon des Artistes Français. Since then, he has been an honoured member of this Society, where he was awarded the gold medal in 1922. Grand Prix of Athens. Member of the Toulouse Academy of Fine Arts. Member of the Institute in 1926. Grand prize at the 1937 International Exhibition. He was made a Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 1935. He died in Paris in 1954.
