Round table "Tulip" of very good quality and very stable, by EERO SAARINEN.
Vintage edition around 1970, probably edited by De Coene Belgium under license from Knoll.
Table base in plastic-coated cast aluminium, round top in white laminated wood.
Pure line, very stable and solid, good condition, some normal wear and tear due to the time.
Dimensions: Table: Height 71 cm, diameter of the top 120 cm.
This table was part of a set of table and 4 chairs of which the chairs were produced by De Coene in Kortrijk under licence from 1968 to 1972 (see picture of the set), the chairs being already sold...
Timeless, contemporary, the Tulip table was designed in 1956 by the designer Eero Saarinen for Knoll International. Combining elegance and modernity, it seduces interior design enthusiasts and is a must-have of 20th century design.
